Self-screening questionnaires

MindScan.

A private self-screening check-in for adults that explains what a result does and does not mean.

Web · Adults 18+Paused prototype

The check-in

The first screen of MindScan: the question How have things felt lately, a note that the check-in has 42 questions in two sections and takes about six minutes, and a Start the check-in button.
The check-in. The first screen of the prototype.

The idea

MindScan is a prototype for informational self-screening. It was designed to be calm and private, to say plainly what each section measures and to keep a result from reading like a diagnosis.

Before the check-in

The MindScan age confirmation: Please confirm your age, with a box to confirm being 18 or older and an Accept and continue button.
Age confirmation. It comes before any question. The confirmation stays in the browser session and is not sent anywhere.

How it works

Who it is for
Adults aged 18 or older. An age confirmation comes before the first question.
The check-in
Two short sections: 32 questions about recent experiences, then the published 10-item adult Autism Spectrum Quotient. It takes about six minutes.
Privacy
Responses stay on the device.
Results
A result explains its limits and suggests next steps. It is never presented as a diagnosis.
Support
Crisis contact information stays in view with every result.
