Row counter for knitting and crochet
Worsted.
Count each finished row, undo a slip and pick the project up where you left it.

The row you are on,
every time you pick it up.
What it is
Worsted is a row counter for knitters and crocheters. It opens straight onto the number that matters: the row you are on.
The counter is drawn as the paper band around a ball of yarn. Choose the yarn shade for your project and the fabric, the band and its ink change to match.
What it does
- Counting
- A large number you can tap with one thumb. Undo takes back a mistaken tap.
- Totals, repeats
- Set the total rows for a piece, and a reminder for an instruction that repeats, such as an increase every sixth row.
- Saving
- The count is stored on the phone and is still there when you come back.
- Your label
- Name the project and choose its yarn shade. Sound and keeping the screen awake are optional.
Try it
A sample sleeve at row 47, with an increase every sixth row. Tap the number to count a row. Nothing here is saved.
Next row: increase 1 each end.
Availability
Worsted is an iPhone prototype with a working counter. The name may change before release.
Keeping several projects, pattern files, Lock Screen counting and an Apple Watch app are planned and not built yet. There is no public download.
