Device management
Endpoint Platform.
Self-hosted software for enrolling a company’s Windows and Mac computers, keeping an inventory and applying policies.
What it is
Endpoint Platform is device management software that a company runs on its own server. Agents on Windows and Mac computers enrol with that server, report what is installed and carry out approved jobs.
It is a separate product from Z-Hub. Z-Hub reads the management tools a company already pays for. Endpoint Platform is a management tool in its own right, with its own agents.
What the trial covers
- Accounts
- Administrator accounts with scoped roles and required two-step sign-in. Company single sign-on can be linked.
- Enrolment
- Windows and macOS agents enrol, check in and report inventory. A device can be revoked.
- Jobs
- Work reaches a device as a job with a time limit and a recorded result. There are no arbitrary remote commands.
- Reports
- Reports keep what was observed apart from what was only configured, and show how complete and how recent the data is.
- Policies
- One baseline with conditions layered on top, versioned so that a change can be reviewed.
Limits
The trial covers Windows and macOS computers. Management of iPhone, iPad and Android devices, app deployment, patching, disk encryption and remote lock or wipe are in development.
Availability
Endpoint Platform is a private trial build, installed for one company at a time. There is no public download or hosted sign-up.
